Over twenty luxurious award-winning properties of Conrad Hotels are spread in cosmopolitan cities across the globe. FRV experienced an exclusive facility in Conrad Centennial Singapore, where business meets the arts.

“We have up-graded your room into the Executive Suite,” the latest good news was delivered to my pleasure, although with minimum knowledge of what I was going to get myself into.

Apparently, staying in the Executive Suite means having a Mercedes-Benz S-Class airport transfer, and that’s just the beginning. The room I was ushered into was on the 29th floor, from where the view of Singapore’s chic skyline is bright, clear and glittering. Sited in Suntec business district, right next to the huge conference center, this hotel is easily labeled as business accommodation. Yet, being close to Marina Bay and the shopping arcades makes it a convenient stay for shoppers as well. And for sure, doing business and shopping are two of the national sports where Singaporeans are masters.

Yet, one may not expect that there are more than the two predictable features being offered in Conrad Centennial. The lobby, exhibiting a hanging spiral representing huge water drops that ripple to the marble floor, promotes arts pieces – paintings, sculptures, and much more. “In total, there are over 3,000 artworks featured here,” Sharon Lee, Director of Communications, reveals. Staring at them one by one could surely help to clear one’s mind from the brainwashing done by international fashion labels.

Conrad Centennial offers choices on how to do business with a twist. Staying at the Executive Suite means one can enjoy an exclusive breakfast without a queue in the Executive Floor, plus evening cocktails and coffee. It also means you can pack light for a one-week business trip, and then do express laundries with no additional surcharge, free light pressing for your Armani suit, and more. Meanwhile, the Business Suite package allows you to use the business center facility 24 hours on a complimentary basis.

Money deals made easy, check. Mad shopping sprees, check. Artsy affair, checked. Still more to come, OK.

Having the award-winning Cantonese restaurant, Golden Peony, busy all the time with gluttonous business people can be a backlash. Before the case of travelers and businessmen getting overweight is filed, Conrad Centennial offers a sweaty way out. A jogging track map is prepared in each room and suite and outside; jogging refreshment counters are also all set to go.

The hotel with 509 guestrooms and suites, complemented with excellent services and amenities, is where all deals are made fair, stylish and healthy.
